Where I find fonts 👩‍🎨

A really good font can make a HUGE difference in your designs.

I thought I'd share a few of my favorite places to find fonts! Whenever I find one I like, I always check the license first to make sure it's okay for what I'm using it for (personal use vs. commercial use).

If it works for my project, I download the .OTF version, install it, and it automatically shows up in my design programs like Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer.

Tip: If a font comes with both an OTF and TTF file, I usually install the OTF version.

One note: If you're using the free version of Canva, downloaded fonts can't be uploaded, so these are best if you're designing in software that lets you install fonts.

Here are a few places I like to browse:

Google Fonts
DaFont (my fave that I have been using for years)
FontSpace
Font Squirrel
Etsy, Creative Market or Creative Fabrica (for unique fonts from independent designers...Etsy is my fave of the 3 actually)
